Carissa entered real estate because it could grant her the flexibility she needed while she raised her kids — but that’s not what has kept her in the industry.
When asked what she enjoys about her job, she’s quick to answer. “I love helping people. It’s so rewarding to know that we helped our clients find their forever home.”
Although Carissa is now a seasoned expert on the art of the real estate transaction, she’s perfectly aware that many clients experience anxiety when it comes to buying or selling a home.
“It can be an overwhelming process, so I remind them that they’re not alone. I walk with them every step of the way, making sure they have all of the information they need to make the best decision possible,” she says, adding that asking the right questions in the right order is a vital part of the process.
“I always communicate with my clients about the next steps; I want to do everything I can to make sure they’re reassured. They’re trusting me with one of the biggest transactions of their lives, so I want to do everything I can to put their mind at ease.”
That outlook, along with her kind and caring demeanor, is what has catapulted Carissa to the top of the real estate game.
“The formula for becoming a great agent is simple: Have confidence in your knowledge and share that knowledge with your client. Be patient, stay calm in high-stress situations, and show grace to yourself and others.”
Carissa extends her principles of connection and impact to her community by holding monthly mixers that feature local-owned businesses. She takes the idea that “we're in this together” even further by supporting several nonprofit initiatives, including The Launch Pad Teen Center, House of Ruth, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona. For the latter, Carissa has secured her role as a celebrity dancer for its local charity event, Dancing for the Stars, slated for September 2022. “It’s a big deal in our town to be chosen to dance, and it's an honor to help raise money for these folks.”
